Ankur Singh to lead Detroit Metro operations of Michael Baker International

Michael Baker International, a Pennsylvania-based global leader in engineering, consulting and technology services, announced the appointment of Ankur Singh as Office Executive – Detroit.

From July 29, Singh will lead operations in the Detroit metro area in Michigan. He is responsible for strengthening client engagement and expanding services.

Singh will also drive strategic growth and a commitment to excellence as One Michael Baker by collaborating with leaders across practices, markets and office locations to strengthen the firm's ability to deliver as a full-service engineering, consulting and advisory firm.

Addressing Singh's appointment, Paul Gluck, Great Lakes Regional Director at Michael Baker International said in a statement, "Ankur brings to his new role a wealth of experience in managing complex, large-scale design-build projects that demand innovative thinking across all phases."

He added, "This deep expertise will be instrumental to guiding strategic initiatives, fostering a high-performing team and delivering impactful results as he leads the Detroit office."

Gluck highlighted Singh's "ability to inspire teams, navigate complex challenges and communicate with clarity”.

Before joining Michael Baker International, he was a Project Manager at Traylor Brothers, Inc., where he was part of the Kiewit Massman Traylor team working on the I-10 Mobile River Bridge pre construction phase.

Singh has also served as Project Manager at Fluor Corporation, where he contributed to major infrastructure initiatives. 

Singh earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Nagpur University (India). 

He is also a Board Member of the American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin and the Head Coach for First Robotics' First Tech Challenge Team.
