Skills:

We are seeking a Frontend-Focused Full Stack Developer with strong UX/UI skills to lead the design and development of our user interfaces. You'll work closely with our lead engineer, CEO, and product team to create beautiful, responsive, and intuitive features for our web and mobile users.

You’ll take ownership of the frontend, bringing designs to life, while also contributing to backend development in Python and Django. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about crafting exceptional interfaces and enjoys the flexibility of working across the stack.

Responsibilities

Frontend Ownership: Lead the design and development of frontend components using Tailwind CSS, HTMX, and modern web standards.
UI/UX Design: Deliver clean, accessible, and engaging interfaces that empower users to showcase their work and connect with opportunities.
Component Development: Build reusable, scalable components and design systems that reflect Thurgood’s unique brand and mission.
Collaborative Product Development: Work with the Product team to translate wireframes and user feedback into polished frontend experiences.
Full Stack Contribution: Support backend development in Python, Django, and deployment on Heroku.
Interactive Interfaces: Leverage HTMX and other modern tools for dynamic, responsive UI interactions.
Iterative Improvement: Continuously refine and optimize the user experience based on real user feedback.

What We're Looking For

Frontend & Design Skills (High Priority):

4+ years experience building responsive, modern web interfaces.
Deep expertise in Tailwind CSS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Strong portfolio of design-forward projects — clean layouts, engaging visuals, intuitive UX.
Experience with HTMX, Alpine.js, or similar for interactive, dynamic UI development.
Ability to translate design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) into pixel-perfect, production-ready code.
Passion for crafting interfaces for diverse, non-traditional users (students, tradespeople, first-time users).
