Women representation in Indian boardrooms has tripled in 10 yrs: Report

India still lags far behind countries like France, Sweden, the US, and the U.K in achieving gender neutral workplaces.

A recently released report by EY found that the representation of Indian women has increased from 6 percent in 2013 to 18 percent in 2022, suggesting that more women are breaking the glass ceiling in the country.

The report 'Diversity in the Boardroom: progress and the way forward' found that currently nearly 95 percent of the top 500 companies have a woman on the board of directors and their roles are not stereotypically limited to grievance and CSR committees.
