Authorities will pursue extradition proceedings against the man accused of killing a 24-year-old Australian girl Toyah Cordingley on a Queensland beach in 2018 with "maximum speed," according to the Indian public prosecutor in charge of the case.

Rajwinder Singh, an Indian-born Australian citizen, was apprehended by Delhi police last Friday after the Queensland government offered a record US$1 million reward for his capture earlier this month.
