The Art of Living Foundation will host the World Cultural Festival in Washington, DC, US, from September 29, 2023, to October 1, 2023, at the National Mall.
Renowned spiritual leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the foundation made the announcement with District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser. “In a world which is so polarized, divided and despondent, it is time for us to come together in celebration, where we appreciate the rich diversity on this planet. It’s high time we recognize we are a one-world family,” Ravi Shankar said.
In its fourth edition, the festival is expected to receive participation from over 180 countries. It will feature international world leaders coordinated by the event’s reception committee led by Ban Ki-moon, the eighth Secretary-General of the UN, including state chiefs and members of the US Congress.
"We are incredibly excited and proud to announce that Washington DC will host the fourth World Cultural Festival in 2023," said DC Mayor, welcoming all global citizens to participate in the event.
The Art of Living foundation is a non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization founded in 1981. The festival in 2016 attracted 3.75 million attendees from 155 countries, including 36,603 artists and 2,500 religious groups.
