Indian-origin business executive, Vimal Kapur was elevated to lead the North Carolina-based diversified conglomerate, Honeywell. On March 14, 2023, Honeywell announced that president and chief operating officer, Vimal Kapur will succeed Darius Adamczyk as chief executive officer (CEO).
As per the announcement, Kapur’s tenure as CEO will commence on June 1, 2023, while outgoing CEO, Adamczyk will continue to serve as executive chairman.
Most recently, Kapur was also included in the company's board of directors. “These moves ensure a seamless leadership transition and position at Honeywell for continued out-performance versus peers.”
Lauding Kapur’s achievements in different segments of the company, Adamczyk acknowledged his ability to lead Honeywell to the next level of growth. “Vimal brings 34 years of deep knowledge about our businesses, end markets and customer needs. His ability to drive our key sustainability and digitalization strategic initiatives, along with his advancement of our world-class operating system – Honeywell Accelerator – throughout the organization, gives him an outstanding platform to drive continued out-performance for our shareowners.”

Thapar Institute of Engineering-Patiala graduate, Kapur has held several leadership positions including managing director for Honeywell Automation India Limited. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) and Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT).
