Indian American judge Vijay Shanker took his seat on the bench of the D.C. Court of Appeals, on Dec. 21, 2022, following confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
The chief judge of the DC Court of Appeals, Anna Blackburne-Rigsby administered the oath to Shanker in the presence of his wife and daughter, a statement released by the District of Columbia Courts said.
