Viacom18 bags Women's IPL media rights for 2023-27 period

The first edition of the Women's IPL which would consist of 22 matches, will reportedly take place between March 5 and March 23.

The BCCI announced that the bid for media rights of the Women's Indian Premier League Seasons (WIPL) 2023–2027 was bagged by Viacom18 Media Private Limited, for a total of US $116 million.

The WIPL's five city-based team franchises will be unveiled later this month. The teams are anticipated to draw top cricket talent from around the world, similar to the men's edition.
