Veena Nair receives PM’s prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Australia

The Mumbai native has over two decades of experience teaching science-based subjects across 3 different countries

Veena Nair, an Indian-origin educator at Viewbank College in Victoria, was named winner of the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools. The award ceremony took place in Canberra on Nov.21.

Nair was recognised for demonstrating practical application of the subject and encouraging students to make a real impact. She is at present the head of technology and STEAM(STEM with Arts)Project Leader at Viewbank College, in the northern suburb of Melbourne.
