Uttarakhand Samaj of Greater Chicago (USOGC) hosted a grand celebration of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, on October 7, with family and friends at Ashton Place Banquets in Willowbrook, Illinois.
Guests travelled from various places in their traditional attire, to attend the cultural event. The USOGC Video presentation covered all of Team USOGC's activities from the previous year. The Nanda Devi Yatra, which represents the traditional pilgrimage journey that occurs every year in Uttarakhand, was also displayed. The national anthem of both nations was sung to pay respect.
