Oregon’s Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley and Tennessee’s Republican Senator Bill Hagerty jointly introduced a bipartisan Senate resolution reaffirming the US's recognition of Arunachal Pradesh as an integral part of India.
The resolution comes on the heels of China’s aggression along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the border it shares with India. In December 2022, the region witnessed the biggest clash in the Eastern Sector in six years.
