NRI Telangana doctors laud state govt’s initiatives in health sector

The NRI doctors on Jan. 4 appreciated the Telangana government's resolution to set up a medical college in each of the 33 districts of the state, an unprecedented move in any state of India till date.

A group of 11 US-based doctors from Telangana lauded the initiatives taken by Telangana government to improve healthcare facilities and infrastructure in the state.

They expressed their appreciation to the State's Health Minister T Harish Rao during a meeting with him on Jan. 4. This meeting comes ahead of his  planned interaction with an association of NRI doctors who have graduated from the state's universities.

The association called Osmania, Gandhi, Kakatiya and Telangana Medical Alumni of America (OGKTMA) will also be joined by members from the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) during the upcoming interaction.
