Indian American couple facilitates Jain studies at Georgia University

The Jain community in the US will complement the couple's generosity by contributing US$ 10,000 every year towards the Jain professorship.

‌‌An Indian American couples' donation has helped Georgia College and State University (GCSU) to set up a Jain professorship, that will infuse the sect’s perspective in the institution's philosophy, religion, literature, history and art courses.

Dr Shailendra and Rajkumari Palvia donated US$ 250,000 towards the establishment of the ‘S & R Palvia Endowed Veetraag Vigyaan Professorship in Jain Studies’ at the Georgia College Department of Philosophy, Religion and Liberal Studies (PALS).
