U.S. to invest $200 billion in India by 2027 says Treasury Secretary

The US was India’s biggest trading partner and in 2021, India-US bilateral trade was over $150 billion.

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in her address during a roundtable  with technology leaders from the US and India said that her government is investing in digital technologies that will drive inclusive, resilient growth in India under the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGII) program.

The roundtable was attended by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, Wipro chairman Rishad Premji, Intel’s country head Nivruti Rai, the country head and managing director at Foxconn International Holding Josh Foulger, IBM India MD Sandip Patel, representatives from USIBC and USISPF among others.
