UNGA President makes first official visit to India

UNGA President and External Affairs Minister discussed key multilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.

President of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Csaba Korosi arrived in India for a three-day visit. This is  Korosi’s first bilateral visit to any country after assuming the role of the UNGA.

The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, welcomed Csaba Korosi to India and tweeted that Karosi's visit was an opportunity to exchange views on global challenges that the United Nations was currently occupied with.

External Affairs Minister, Dr S. Jaisankar welcomed Csaba Kőrösi and hosted him for a millet lunch. The two leaders discussed global challenges, UN reform, the Ukraine conflict and the G20 agenda.  "Assured him of India's fullest support in developmental progress and reformed multilateralism," tweeted Jaisankar after the meeting.
