World’s largest dinosaurs fossilised eggs discovered in India

The newly discovered nesting sites in India help to add further evidence for researchers investigating the process of dinosaur reproduction.‌‌ As birds descended from dinosaurs, it suggests that titanosaurs and their ancestors may have had a similar reproductive system.

Over 250 eggs of Titanosaur, the world’s largest dinosaur, have been discovered from fossilized nests in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, India that may shed light on the lives of the largest animals.‌‌

The findings, which contain evidence of six different types of fossilized eggs across the Lamenta formation in Central India, were revealed in a study published in the PLOS One journal.
