Indian American sworn in as Texas county Judge

Mathew, who ran for re-election, won with 123,116 votes against Republican Andrew Dornburg.

Indian American Juli A Mathew was sworn in as the Judge of the Fort Bend County Court (Texas) at Law No 3 in the United States for the second consecutive time.

The ceremony took place through video conference as Mathew was in India visiting her in-laws in Bheemanady, Kasaragod. With roots in Thiruvalla, Kerala, she is a democrat candidate, and the first Indian-American to be elected to the bench.
