British MP calls for direct flights between India and UK

According to the Stockport representative in Greater Manchester, such direct air connections would guarantee that all regions of the UK would profit from FTA with India

British Indian Opposition Labour Party MP Navendu Mishra

British Indian Labour Party MP Navendu Mishra has urged for direct flights between Britain's third-largest airport, Manchester in northern England, and important towns in India.

In light of the ongoing discussions for the India-UK free trade agreement (FTA), Mishra stated before the House of Commons the need to have better connectivity between the northern cities of England and those in India.

According to the representative for Stockport in Greater Manchester, such direct air connections would guarantee that all regions of the UK would profit from any FTA.
