Canada plans to strengthen visa processing capacity in Delhi and Chandigarh

Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, said, "Today's announcement brings significant new funding to strengthen Canada's visa processing capacity at home and abroad."

Canada has constituted a plan to provide for an investment of nearly US$2.3 billion in the next five years to strengthen visa processing capacity,  recognizing the important and fundamental role that the Indo-Pacific region will play  in the country's future.

Reports reveal that the government will invest in strengthening the visa processing capacity within the centralized Canadian network as well as New Delhi and Chandigarh to foster diversity among those seeking employment and educational opportunity in Canada.
