The Permanent Mission of India to thr United Nations celebrated the International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023 on February 14, 2023 with the launch of a special exhibition on millets and a hosted a reception with millet based delicacies for over a hundred delegations at the UN headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, Permanent Representative of India to the UN, gave a brief speech explaining why India pursued the goal of having a year dedicated to millets and how it is a significant solution in fulfilling the SDGs.
