UK launches Chevening scholarship for minorities and climate monitoring tool in Jharkhand

The scholarship will provide full financial assistance to five scholars from the economically weaker section in Jharkhand to pursue a one-year Masters program in the UK.

The United Kingdom (UK) government announced the launch of education and climate programmes in association with the government of Jharkhand to benefit the marginalised and under-represented communities in the state.

During a two-day visit to the state Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren,  to create the Chevening Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda (MGJSM) Scholarship.
