UK cricket gear exporters who currently face export tariffs of 20 percent on bats and pads and 10 percent on English willow are looking to benefit from the trade agreement with India, that will provide a reduction in taxes and lead to a boost in exports.
The trade pact that is currently in the final stages of negotiations is expected to "cut red tape and tariffs for businesses, which could include reducing the current 20% tariff on cricket bats and pads made in the UK," a UK news release noted.
