U.S Mission and Program Partners celebrate 20 years of cultural cooperation with India

Through the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, the American Embassy in India celebrated 20 years of cultural exchange with India.

The United States mission in India honored 20 years of cultural cooperation between India and the united States through the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. The event was  attended guests from the Ministry of Culture, the commercial sector, and civil society to a special celebration on November 29, 2022.

“India’s rich cultural heritage has had a profound impact on the United States, and the world.  We’re proud to have helped preserve aspects of this heritage by investing more than $2 million over the past two decades for the documentation, conservation, and restoration of 23 key historic sites and intangible heritage properties in India,” said U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Patricia Lacina at the event.  

"The United States is proud to partner with India.  We remain committed in our joint effort to protect, preserve, and promote cultural heritage and look forward to continuing our important work in the future," she added.
