Trade deal with UK to boost garment export from India

A proposed India-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (FTA) has kindled high hopes among knitwear and garment factories in distant Tirupur in South India.

The government is expected to sign an FTA with the UK after Deepavali (October 24) which will boost exports as the majority of the consumers and dealers prefer Indian goods for its rich quality.
