The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), New Jersey recently celebrated its 15th year anniversary by hosting a gala dinner reception and awards night at Peapack and Gladstone, New Jersey.
The event was attended by over 250 charter members including entrepreneurs and young professionals. Randhir Jaiswal, Counsul General of India in New York and Israel Nitzan, Deputy Consul General of Israel in Mew York also graced the event.

During the event, the Consul General presented the organization’s inaugural Excelsior Award for Lifetime Achievement and Contribution to Entrepreneurship to Francisco D’Souza, Indian American business leader and former CEO of Cognizant. D’Souza currently serves as the co-founder and managing partner of RECOGNIZE, a private equity firm.
A fireside chat between D'Souza, and TiE-NJ Board member Professor Suresh U. Kumar, covering a wide range of topics, including life, luck, and leadership also took place during the event. Speaking to New India Abroad, Kumar said D’Souza also shared his views on India’s digital transformation and emergence of startups during the conversation.

“We discussed AI and the emergence of conversational AI. How can entrepreneurs incorporate that into their business plans,” Kumar said.
