Think of technologies as public health goods says Soumya Swaminathan

The most important lesson learned from the pandemic is the significance of investing in public health and primary health care and that countries that had invested in the past decade or two are now reaping the benefits.

“We also need to think about working with the private sector which is already playing a very big role in technology. But we need to think about technologies that are considered public health goods”, maintained Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, a former top scientist of the World Health Organisation.
