Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) made its debut in the Forbes annual list of America’s Best Large Employers, at the 486th position, with an employee count of 592,195.
The list was compiled on the basis of an independent survey of 45,000 employees at American companies with more than 1,000 employees, an official statement noted.
“TCS has focused on creating an employee-friendly workplace that fosters innovation and empowers people to grow both personally and professionally. We will continue to invest in our people and culture to ensure that TCS remains one of the best employers in the US and around the world," TCS North America chairman Suresh Muthuswami, said.
Over the last three years, TCS has hired more than 21,000 people in the US, making it one of the largest recruiters in the IT services industry in the country. Forbes also recognized TCS as one of the Best Employers in the State of New York in 2022.
Additionally Fortune magazine included TCS in its 2023 list of the World's Most Admired Companies, while CareerBliss has added it to its 50 Happiest Companies of 2023 list.
The firm's initiatives including the STEM programs and Ignite My Future in School initiatives, have got the company listed by Points of Light as one of America’s 50 most community-minded companies for six years running.
The top 3 companies in the Forbes annual list of America’s Best Large Employers include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Houston Methodist and Mayo Clinic.
