A historic new initiative with Tata Power, one of India's largest integrated power companies, to deploy a demand response programme across residential, commercial, and industrial customers was announced by industry-leading Distributed Energy Management System (DERMS) and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) provider AutoGrid. This innovative approach will aid India's transition to clean energy and assist in reducing peak demand.

The new Demand Response Management Program, which will serve Tata Power's customers in Mumbai, the country's most populous city, seeks to engage 55,000 residential consumers and 6,000 large C&I customers to reduce peak load by 75 MW within the first six months, and then scale up to 200 MW by the summer of 2025.
