Naomi Campbell, a well-known name in the fashion industry, recently appeared on the cover of a prestigious magazine, Vogue India. In 1988, at the age of 18, she became the first Black model to bag a French Vogue cover.
In an interview with the magazine, Campbell expressed her affection for the nation and admitted to being in love with it. She also revealed that she had visited the country on multiple occasions.
"The second time that I ever traveled alone in my life, I went to Trivandrum. I went there by myself in 2012 to learn about yoga," the model was quoted as saying to Vogue. "I remember meeting someone from India at a luxury conference in South Africa and telling him that I love the country so much. I feel such peace here," she added.
Campbell went on to revealed her love for sarees. "I've worn them hundreds of times," she said adding that she has always worn sarees when in India, and enjoys wearing them.

The 52-year-old has also collected quite a lot of Indian jewelry, although she doesn't really wear them. "I have quite a bit of Indian jewelry that I have collected over the years. I normally don't wear any jewelry, but I've bought so much in the past," she said.
"It's not just the front of the jewelry that I like, but the intricate detailing that India does behind the necklace. These are beautiful details, and we just don't see any of this workmanship anywhere else", she remarked.
