Tata Sons and the New York Academy of Sciences instituted a new prize, on Jan. 4, 2023 to recognize and encourage young Indian scientists working on breakthrough technical innovations to solve societal concerns.
The Tata Transformation prize will be given to three scientists each year for achievements in one of three areas: food security, sustainability, and healthcare. Each winner will get US$2,41,612 and will be honored in December at an event in India.
