Scotland to get first ever British Indian Army Memorial

The upcoming project is proposed to have a Chattri design, commonly seen for war memorials of South Asian troops.

The Glasgow City Council has approved the construction plans of Scotland's first ever permanent memorial for Indian soldiers who fought alongside the British in the two World Wars.

The British Indian Army Memorial was proposed by Colorful Heritage, Scotland's first charitable initiative in that aims to preserve and celebrate the contributions of the early South Asian and Muslim communities and migrants to Scotland.
