Salesforce, an American cloud-based software company announced the expansion of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad to significantly strengthen the company’s presence in India.
The California-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) firm has a more than decade-old presence in India and is investing to advance its presence and operations in the country's market, an official statement noted.
The CoE in Hyderabad provides world-class innovation to support research and development programs that Salesforce provides to its Indian clients, such as Air India, HDFC Ltd., Tata CliQ, and Mahindra Ltd. among many others.
Welcoming the expansion of the establishment, Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce and IT, K T Rama Rao, said, “The Salesforce Centre of Excellence is a testament to Hyderabad’s extraordinary tech talent, high-quality infrastructure, global standard of living – and the razor-sharp focus and hard work put in by the entire Telangana government to bring in high-quality investment.”
Speaking on the occasion, CEO and chairperson for Salesforce India, Arundhati Bhattacharya said, “I am thrilled to be expanding the Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad, deepening our commitment to the region and India’s role as a global talent and innovation hub for Salesforce.”
Also present during the event, Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar praised the company as a preeminent software technology company in the world.
