The incarceration of eight former Indian Navy personnel by Qatari authorities was described as "a very sensitive case" by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
He also told Members of Parliament that "their interests are foremost in our minds. Senior officials and ambassadors often communicate with the government of Qatar. We assure you, they are our priority”.
