Reliance purchases Russian naphtha and increases fuel oil imports

During September and October this year, India imported more than 410,000 tonnes of Russian naphtha.

Trade flow data from Refinitiv revealed that Reliance Industries, home to the largest refinery complex in the world, is grabbing Russian refined fuels, including purchases of rare naphtha, after certain Western consumers stopped importing Russian fuel.

Russian crude and refined products were mostly exported to European nations before Western sanctions were imposed on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine.
