The performance events were followed up with motivating speeches from many illustrious personalities including President of RANA Prem Bhandari. Talking about the gala, Bhandari emphasized the importance of joint community efforts towards the society and the impact it creates.
“These events are important, they bring us together. I would like to see a joint event with not just RANA but all other Indian associations across America. We all come from different states and cultures, but here in this country we are stronger together as Indians. A joint event like this gala with all the associations will make a greater social impact for the India diaspora,” said Bhandari.
The gala event raised a glorious $1.3 million for charity that would go into causes like student scholarships and Jaipur Foot camp, a club that helps in donations of foot injury recovery equipment and medical advice.
