A new non-Indian resident-friendly policy will soon be introduced by the state government to help NRI Punjabis find rapid solutions to their issues. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Punjab NRI Affairs Minister, said he is to discuss the new draft NRI policy with department officials and members of the NRI Commission Punjab.
He made this statement on Wednesday while presiding over a high-level meeting with senior NRI Department officers. According to Dhaliwal, the Punjab Government has started an initiative to reunite young NRI Punjabis with their culture. Similarly, the Bhagwant Mann administration would also develop a programme for the senior citizens under which NRI Punjabi seniors would receive free transportation to important historical and religious sites in the state.
