Indian-American professor of computer science at a Kansas State University received a research prize from Amazon for the creation of a tool that minimizes unpleasant user experiences when dealing with machine learning based software systems, the University said in a statement.
The Peggy and Gary Edwards chair in engineering Pavithra Prabhakar was among 74 recipients of the Amazon awards, which includes access to more than 300 Amazon public datasets, artificial intelligence and machine learning services and tools from Amazon Web Services.
