भारत के ओडिशा राज्य में भारतीय प्रवासी सम्मेलन धूमधाम से मनाया गया। सम्मेलन में दुनियाभर से प्रवासी भारतीयों ने बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया। यह प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस का 18वां सम्मेलन था। हर दूसरे साल में यह सम्मेलन भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों में आयोजित होता रहा है। इस बार भारत के पूर्वी राज्य के शहर भुवनेश्वर को सम्मेलन की मेजबानी का मौका मिला। इस मौके पर एनआरआई स्वदेश पहुंचते हैं और भारत की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत से रू-ब-रू होते हैं।
