On International Museum Day observed May 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a three-day, first-of-its-kind exhibition in New Delhi, Union Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy announced on May 10.

With the cooperation of various departments, including museum development, experts, and senior officers, India's rich cultural heritage will be on display,” Reddy said.

The three-day International Museum Expo will focus on a range of thematic museums, explored through workshops, seminars, masterclasses, panel discussions and other events. The Masterclasses are talks on specific subject matter relating to the functioning of museum spaces led by global experts in a lecture-demo format.

“With the cooperation of various departments, including museum development, experts, and senior officers, India’s rich cultural heritage will be on display,” Reddy said, adding that under the leadership of the PM, the Ministry of Culture has commissioned and opened 145 new museums to date.

The event provides museum professionals and enthusiasts with a comprehensive platform to exchange ideas and insights and foster cross-cultural learning and understanding.
