Kalaripayattu, the pride of Kerala and one of the world's oldest martial arts, has earned a spot in the coveted Guinness Book of World Records due to the efforts of a Dubai-based club that organized a mass demonstration of the art in Dubai.
The record for the most people performing Kalarippayattu simultaneously was created by Kalari Club Dubai in association with Dubai Police. 270 participants of various ages from 4 to 60 years took part in the demonstration, local media reported.
