On Jan. 3, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to King Charles III of the United Kingdom over their first phone call since the monarch began his reign.
During the interaction, Modi wished the British King a "very successful reign" ahead and discussed a number of topics of mutual interest including climate action, conservation of biodiversity and innovative solutions for financing energy transition. He also expressed his appreciation over Charles' abiding interest and advocacy on these issues.
