NYC Mayor Eric Adams condemns Gandhi Statue vandalization in Queens

Six vandals used a sledgehammer to completely desecrate the Gandhi statue, that was just restored after a first case of vandalization in August.

New York City Mayor, Eric Adams joined Hindu American Assemblyperson Jenifer Rajkumar, local elected officials and interfaith leaders on Wednesday, to condemn the second attack in two weeks on the Gandhi statue housed in the Tulsi Mandir at Richmond Hill, New York.

“Hate has no place in Richmond Hill. Hate has no place in New York City. Hate has no place in our country,” the mayor said assuring that the perpetrators of the attack will be swiftly brought to justice.
