Sanjib Sahoo honoured with Bharat Samman Award

The award ceremony took place at the House of Lords in London


At the 34th annual NRI Pravasi Divas, the Bharat Samman Award was presented to Sanjib Sahoo, chief digital officer (CDO) of Ingram Micro. Alastair John Campbell, 4th Baron Colgrain, presented the award in the presence of other leaders, including Manu Jagmohan Singh, CEO of the NRI Institute, at the House of Lords in London, United Kingdom, during the World Leaders Summit. 

The award, presented annually by NRI Institute, a non-profit, is bestowed upon a group of select People of Indian Origin (PIOs), living in India or abroad, recognizing their achievements in respective fields and their contribution to the socio-economic development. In addition to their understanding of community needs, recipients of the Bharat Samman Award exhibit exemplary selfless volunteer service, according to the press release. 

The 2023 recipients of the Bharat Samman include Sanjib Sahoo (Ingram Micro), Dr Raghavpat Singhania (managing director of JK Cement), Ashok Kumar Todi (chairman of Lux Industries), and Biswanath Patnaik (chairman of Finnest). 

Reflecting on the award and achievement, Sahoo said, “I am incredibly honoured and humbled. The recipients, the ceremony, the appreciation, and the entire experience have been amazing. Thank you.” 

Sahoo joined Ingram Micro in 2021. He is credited with conceptualizing the company's digital counterpart, Ingram Micro Xvantage, and driving its ongoing development and improvement. His continued leadership in digital transformation, digital platforms, and leading innovation has earned him numerous accolades, including CRN's top disruptor, AsiaOne's Global Person of the Year, and the Indian Achievers award.
