United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has called for a full travel ban on "every damn country that's been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies," after a meeting with the President of the United States Donald Trump.
Noem's comments come in the backdrop of the death of a National Guard member and critically wounding of another, on Nov. 27, after being shot near the White House in an ambush that investigators say was carried out by an Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal.

Airing her views on the issue, Noem said on X, "I just met with the President. I am recommending a full travel ban on every damn country that's been flooding our nation with killers, leeches, and entitlement junkies."
She added, "Our forefathers built this nation on blood, sweat, and the unyielding love of freedom—not for foreign invaders to slaughter our heroes, suck dry our hard-earned tax dollars, or snatch the benefits owed to AMERICANS."
She concluded her post saying, "WE DON'T WANT THEM. NOT ONE."
I just met with the President.

Trump also said on Truth Social that he will end all federal benefits and subsidies to "noncitizens," he also vowed to "denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any foreign national who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western civilization." The United Nations, however, urged the Trump administration against such decisions and appealed to Washington to continue allowing asylum seekers access into the country.
