Indian man convicted for 2018 murder in Australia
Rajwainder Singh had fled to India by the time the police zeroed in on him, he was later found at a New Delhi Gurdwara.

Indian man Rajwainder Singh has been convicted of the 2018 murder of Toyah Cordingley in Australia.
Cordingley was reportedly stabbed at least 26 times and then her throat was cut while the 24-year-old woman was out for her morning walk with her dog. The attack was triggered by Cordingley's dog barking at Singh.

After the attack, Singh, a former nurse, fled to India and was arrested from a New Delhi Gurdwara in late 2022, after Queensland police announced a $1 million (663,534 USD) reward for information on his whereabouts.
As per reports, Singh fled from Australia, leaving behind his wife, three children and parents.
Singh was subsequently extradited to Australia in early 2023 and stood trial. His first trial ended with a hung jury but eight months later, his second trial began and Singh was convicted.
The 2018 murder of animal shelter volunteer Toyah Cordingley sparked widespread outrage in Far North Queensland, with thousands marching for justice. Her father discovered her half-buried body in sand dunes on Wangetti Beach.
