The left-handed opening batter from Mumbai has enjoyed a remarkable run in recent years, establishing herself as one of the most accomplished players in women's cricket. TIME highlighted Mandhana's record-breaking performances, including becoming the first Indian woman to score a century in all three international formats and the first to score more than 1,000 One-Day International runs in a calendar year.

Mandhana also shares the record for the most centuries in international women's cricket, with 17 hundreds to her name.

Beyond individual milestones, the 28-year-old has played a key role in team successes. As captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, she guided the franchise to Women's Premier League titles in 2024 and 2026. She also served as vice-captain of the Indian team that won the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup last year, finishing among the tournament's leading run-scorers.

TIME noted that Mandhana set the record for the most international runs scored across formats by a woman cricketer in 2024 and surpassed her own mark the following year. Her performances earned her the BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year award for 2025.

Mandhana's inclusion on the TIME100 Sports list underscores the growing global influence of Indian women's cricket and highlights her status as one of the sport's most recognizable and impactful figures.
