The Consulate General of India in San Francisco, in partnership with the Evolve Silicon Valley (Evolve SV) Foundation and the Indiaspora Forum, hosted the AI Impact Pre-Summit Conference this week as a precursor to next year's global Artificial Intelligence (AI) summit in New Delhi.
The event brought together stakeholders from across the Silicon Valley ecosystem to discuss emerging developments in artificial intelligence and priorities for the forthcoming AI Impact Summit.

Srikar Reddy, and a special address from Ambassador Namgya C. Khampa, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Washington, D.C., framing AI cooperation with the U.S. as both strategic and indispensable.
This was followed by a keynote on “AI for All” by Vinod Khosla of Khosla Ventures, who outlined the broad impact of artificial intelligence across sectors. He stressed that technology development should go hand-in-hand with good policy for any country to reap the benefits of it.

Speakers discussed industry trends, workforce implications, and scalable AI applications.

Rangaswami, founder of Indiaspora, featured Neeraj Arora, MD, General Catalyst; Sumir Chadha, co-founder of WestBridge Capital; Surya Ganguli, senior fellow at Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered AI; Arun Kumar, managing partner at Celesta Capital; and Abhishek Shukla, MD, Prosperity7 Ventures. The session examined investment strategies, ethical frameworks, and global collaboration.

Discussions focused on how AI can advance environmental resilience and equitable development.

Speakers included Natasha Crampton, chief responsible AI officer at Microsoft; Paula Goldman, chief ethical and human use officer at Salesforce; Julie Huguet, director of the French Tech Mission in Paris; Srinivas Narayanan, CTO of B2B applications at OpenAI; and Meerah Rajavel, board member and CIO at Palo Alto Networks.

The AI Impact Summit 2026 will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Feb. 19, 2026, marking the first-ever global AI summit hosted in the Global South.
