Pickleball Kingdom enters India in major expansion
The U.S. indoor pickleball franchise is partnering with BAQ Wizards to open new facilities across India.

Pickleball is set to enter India on a major scale as Pickleball Kingdom announced its expansion into the country on Nov. 12. The move marks the franchise’s first international launch and brings the fast-growing American sport to one of the world’s largest racket-sport markets.
Team BAQ Wizards India, led by Bhanu Gulati, Anuj Duggal, and Qudrath Ali, will oversee the rollout. Duggal said the partnership blends “the American vision of dreaming big and Indian empathy for community,” adding that the project reflects Indian values of connection and shared purpose. He described the launch as a step toward creating a “sustainable, scalable, and joyful ecosystem” for the sport.
Pickleball Kingdom, based in Phoenix, has awarded more than 400 locations across the United States. The company said India was its top choice for global growth, citing local enthusiasm for tennis and badminton.
“From day one, India has been our number one choice for international expansion,” said Ace Rodrigues, the company’s founder and CEO. He said India’s “energy, athletic spirit, and love for community” align with the franchise’s identity. “This is the biggest announcement our company has made to date. The future is very exciting.”
Rob Streett, president and chief global officer, said the India launch strengthens the company’s push into new markets. “The energy and enthusiasm we’re seeing internationally confirm that the world is ready for Pickleball Kingdom,” he said. “Now is the time for new partners to join us in taking this movement worldwide.”
The partnership with BAQ Wizards brings more than three decades of combined experience in leadership, business, and sales. Gulati said the spirit of the franchise aligns with their goals. “Pickleball Kingdom’s spirit of joy, inclusivity, and well-being mirrors our own values,” he said. “It is about creating a movement that builds community, connection, and balance across India.”
The new facilities will introduce indoor pickleball courts and structured recreational spaces at a time when young professionals and families are seeking accessible sports and social activities. The launch is expected to open opportunities for future franchise partners as the sport gains traction in the country.
Pickleball Kingdom said it will continue inviting interested individuals in India and abroad to explore franchise participation as part of its wider global strategy.
