The newly appointed Indian-origin Prime Minister of UK Rishi Sunak, on Wednesday, stoutly defended the reappointment of Suella Braverman as Home Secretary. This is just a week after the controversial politician was forced to resign over a breach of government ethics rules.

42-year-old Braverman faced scathing criticism and resigned from the Cabinet of former Prime Minister Liz Truss having sent secure information from her private email. She was reappointed by Sunak on Tuesday, leading to brickbats for both Braverman and Sunak.
