The man who murdered America’s first turbaned Indian-origin Sikh police officer in Texas back in 2019 has been convicted by a court here. 42-year-old Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal was gunned down in cold blood, as recorded in a chilling video in his body cam, by one Robert Solis.

After several hearings, a jury at the Harris County Criminal Court in Houston on Monday pronounced Solis convicted of “capital murder.” Till the end, Solis pleaded innocent.
